RHAS launches Healthy Community Clinic in Bayader Wadi Seer Health Centre

The Royal Health Awareness Society (RHAS), in cooperation with the Ministry of Health, and in support of Hikma Pharmaceuticals launched the Healthy Commuinty Clinic Project in Bayader Wadi Seer Health Centre.


The ministry of Health representative Dr. Bashar Abu Saleem, said that the launch of the healthy community clinic comes in line with the Ministry’s policy and vision in increasing health awareness in local communities.

Enaam Barrishi, RHAS Director General said that the Healthy Community Clinic Project is a community-based health project launched within the final quarter of 2011 to be conducted with the Ministry of Health (MOH), and aims to build the capacity of participating Health Centers to provide better preventative services to empower patients to manage their diseases and reduce future complications. 

Barrishi added that the Healthy Community Clinic, established within existing MOH facilities, provides medical practitioners with the training and resources necessary to implement management and prevention-based care to patients in underserved communities. 



Mrs. Hana Ramadan, Vice President of Corporate Communications at Hikma Pharmaceutical said, “Hikma’s support of the various activities related to the health sector and to its development comes in line with our aim to improve the communities in which we operate. Our participation in establishing a Healthy Community Clinic in the area of Bayader Wadi Seer demonstrates our keenness to increase health awareness and the methods of prevention from the common widespread diseases to contribute to building positive and healthy communities.”

  


RHAS is a Jordanian non-profit organization established in 2005 under the direction of Her Majesty Queen Rania Al Abdullah. It aims at enhancing the overall wellbeing of local communities by raising health awareness and empowering Jordanians to embrace healthy lifestyles and behaviors. RHAS initiates and supports community-based health and safety interventions in partnership with public, private and civil society institutions.
