Hikma Pharmaceuticals, Jordan’s leading pharmaceutical manufacturer, signed a new agreement with the Royal Health Awareness Society (RHAS) to support the implementation of the Healthy Community Clinic project in Sahab Comprehensive Health Center.
The agreement follows the successful launch of the first Healthy Community Clinic (HCC) that was supported by Hikma at the Bayader Wadi El-Seer Comprehensive Health Center last month. The initiative comes in line with Hikma’s mission of improving peoples’ quality of lives, and supporting communities where Hikma operates.
Through its Corporate Responsibility (CR) strategy of raising health awareness in the local community, Hikma’s support of the HCC covers the costs of training the medical staff responsible for the clinic, preparing the necessary sources and medical devices, in addition to printing awareness flyers and brochures.
Ms. Hana Ramadan, Vice President of Corporate Communication at Hikma Pharmaceuticals, said, "Our second partnership with RHAS reveals how successful our first experience in supporting Bayader’s health center was. We noticed the increase in health awareness among patients and their ability in adopting healthy lifestyles in addition to having a better understanding of their diseases."
Mrs. Enaam Barrishi, Director General of The Royal Health Awareness Society, stated: “We believe that the partnership between RHAS and Hikma will give us the chance to unify our efforts to significantly increase the health awareness of the Jordanian community to reach a healthy and safe Jordan.”
RHAS was established in 2005 under the direction of Her Majesty Queen Rania Al-Abdullah to promote health and to empower Jordanians to adopt healthy lifestyles and practices. RHAS community-based projects are implemented in accordance with the needs of the communities and revolve around the national health priorities.
