The Royal Health Awareness Society and Ghadeer Mineral Water Co. (Nestle Waters Jordan) have recently signed two agreements, to collaborate in implementing healthy schools projects and project WET in schools across the Kingdom.

The agreements were signed by Ghadeer Mineral Water Co. General Manager Dr. Rasem Dabbas, and RHAS Director General Mrs. Enaam Barrishi.

The first agreement, stipulates that Ghadeer Mineral Water Co. will support the National Accreditation Programs for Healthy Schools, which aims to develop and enhance a healthy environment to ensure an optimal atmosphere for learning and working. The program tackles all health, practical and educational aspects at the school, addressing students, teachers, staff and parents as well as the local community. The Healthy Schools project is implemented in Jordanian schools, in partnership with the Ministry of Health and Ministry of Education. RHAS conducts visits to the participated schools, to evaluate the extent of their application for health accreditation standards, and award it the certification as an accredited healthy school.

As for the second agreement, whereby Ghadeer Mineral Water Co. will execute  project ‘Water Education for Teachers’ (WET) in 72 schools.

Project Wet is a global education program that promotes and provides learning tools for water awareness, in collaboration with international partners, through educational initiatives in countries around the world. Project WET will be implemented in Jordan in collaboration with Ministry of Education and Ministry of Health, to raise the teachers’ awareness on issues and challenges related to water, in addition to spreading the best practices of water reservation, in which it will enable them to transfer the knowledge to students, to strengthen their adherence to it and apply it
