19/03/2015

The Royal Health Awareness Society and Ghadeer Mineral Water Co. and in cooperation with the Ministry of Education concluded a training workshop that targeted the health teachers of 72 healthy schools within silver level and above to execute project ‘Water Education for Teachers’ (WET).

The training workshop highlighted the project ‘Water Education for Teachers’ (WET), a global education program that promotes and provides learning tools for water awareness. Project WET is implemented in Jordan in collaboration with Ministry of Education and Ministry of Health, to raise the teachers’ awareness on issues and challenges related to water, in addition to spreading the best practices of water reservation, in which it will enable them to transfer the knowledge to students, to strengthen their adherence to it and apply it. The project will be implemented in 72 schools that participate in the national health accreditation program within silver level and above.

RHAS was established in 2005 under the direction of Her Majesty Queen Rania Al-Abdullah to promote health and to empower Jordanians to adopt healthy lifestyles and behaviors. RHAS community-based projects are implemented in accordance with the needs of the communities and revolve around the national health priorities.
