RHAS participates in NASH fun day

09/11/2015

The Royal Health Awareness Society (RHAS) participated in the Jordan Olympic Committee’s activity “NASH kids’ day”, which was held at Prince Hamzeh Hall in Al Hussein Sports City with the participation of more than 150 school children representing the healthy schools program.

Nash was announced as the Jordan Olympic Committee’s children’s ambassador last month with a mission to encourage more youngsters to embrace sport and healthy living in their lives.

And it was a day to remember for the kids who met their idol, Nash, and joined him for two hours of fun activity, culminating in a pledge that win or lose they should always show respect, play fair, try their best, be healthy and have fun.

All the children were then welcomed as members of the Nash Club. The children came from several schools that are part of the Royal Health Awareness Society’s Healthy Schools Accreditation Program which is encouraging schools to create a healthier environment for their pupils.

Nash is proving a big hit with youngsters and the ‘Story of Nash’ cartoon has already been watched on You Tube nearly 2,000 times.

(RHAS) was established in 2005 under the direction of Her Majesty Queen Rania Al Abdullah to promote health and empower Jordanians to adopt healthy lifestyles and behaviors. RHAS's community-based projects are implemented in accordance with the needs of the communities and revolve around the national health priorities.
