RHAS and Pharmacy One Sign Cooperation Agreement to Raise Health Awareness

24/01/2017 The Royal Health Awareness Society (RHAS) and Pharmacy One have signed a cooperation agreement on Wednesday 24 January 2017, that aims to promote health awareness in society and to spread favorable health habits through a number of joint activities between the two parties.

Signing on behalf of RHAS was General Director Hanin Odeh, and on behalf of Pharmacy One was CEO Yousef Fanous.

The agreement will see the two parties organize joint health awareness activities that aim to promote health; Pharmacy One volunteers are to participate in health awareness initiatives and conduct free medical checkups, while RHAS representatives will conduct awareness sessions about general health issues. Both teams will push health awareness messages on their social media platforms, as well as smart phone applications.

The agreement also stipulates that joint promotional health materials are to be screened in a number of Pharmacy One branches throughout the Kingdom, in addition to providing brochures about a number of health issues, especially chronic diseases.

In an attempt to enhance preventive healthcare knowledge and skills at schools participating in the Healthy Schools program, there will be a free health day where free medical checkups will be conducted for local communities around each of the schools.

RHAS Director General, Hanin Odeh, commended Pharmacy One’s efforts towards raising awareness on health saying “RHAS is proud of the efforts Pharmacy One has invested in enhancing health knowledge for individuals to improve their quality of life. We believe that through this cooperation we will be able to deliver informational health messages to a wider audience, as Pharmacy One is one of the most important pharmaceuticals groups serving various segments of the society throughout its network of branches in the Kingdom”.

As for Pharmacy One CEO, Yousef Fanous, he reiterated the importance of this agreement saying “we, in Pharmacy One, believe in the value of RHAS’s mission to raise health awareness, and working closely together is integral to the success of that mission of having a healthy, safe Jordanian society. We are indeed proud to be a part of this”.

He also said “Pharmacy One has launched a series of activities, events, and services in time for the group’s 15th anniversary. One of which was launching the slogan “Lakum”, an initiative that aims to improve healthcare in the society, and the partnership with RHAS is in full alignment with it”.
